The BLOCK Party

The second longest running fundraising project by the Club is the annual BLOCK party.

No, its not a close off the street and have a BBQ event , its logs, chain saws and wood splitters. Or at least it started off that way. Today under the long-term guidance of the project Chairman, Bill Pfeifer, most of the heavy lifting has bee done away with.

Today, our wood is cut and split for the Club by a local wood lot as their contribution to the clubs fund raising efforts. Then the wood is loaded by machine into the dump trailers , manned by Club members and delivered around the valley.

For anyone interested in purchasing firewood for their home and helping raise funds for Rotary you are asked to contact Bill Pfeifer or the Creston Valley Rotary club using the contact information found on this website.

Creston Valley Tax Receipted Donations

Creston Valley Rotary Club in partnership with the Creston-Kootenay Foundation has established the ability for ANYONE wishing to make a tax deductible donation to the Creston Valley Rotary Club the option to do so!

There are two types of donations possible. If you have a specific project being managed by the Creston Valley Rotary Club that meets the tax deductible criteria and you wish for a receipt for your donation there is the FLOW THRU fund. This allows your donation to go directly to the project you select but you will need to contact the Creston Valley Rotary to determine eligibility.

he second and more popular type of donation is to the ENDOWMENT fund. The principle donation is placed into the endowment for which a tax receipt is issued. The interest earned by the donation is then used by the Creston Valley Rotary Club to support those allowable projects and charitable requests made to the Club..

CLICK the BUTTON below, this will take you to the Creston Valley Rotary page on the Creston-Kootenay Foundation site, click the DONATE button on that page and follow the directions. Our sincerest thanks for your donation..
